New Today:
Presented a talk/demo at the McConnell Library this afternoon as part of the "Senior's Cafe" series.
Initially I was worried about having enough info to fill up 2 hours, but we ended up going *over* by almost an hour!! What a super group! Lots of great questions made my time that much more relaxing and enjoyable (knowing my audience is interested REALLY helps) not to mention walking into a room that is completely set up with all the necessities: audio/visual, flip chart/markers, ample tables, chairs, clipboards for participants--Wow, Chris Thomson! You rock!
We talked suppliers, tools, techniques, dos and dont's, the value of original design, a bit about pricing and markets, then we broke for tea n snacks (Thanks again Chris!), and then we all made a pair of earrings to take home! Participants also got a crack at a doorprize (beachglass set) plus coupons, and many said they would be practicing some more on their own--Good luck everyone and don't forget your good friends: pliers (roundnose, needlenose, flushcutters), Dremel, and Google image search!!! Get busy!
