Today the shop is open to passersby! All are welcome to stop in for a peek, and maybe buy a wee giftie or two--I've had a lot of fun choosing things for you, and I'm excited to hear what you think! It's 12-6, thurs, fri, sat from now on!

Last night, I noticed how many things in the shop start with "B"--oddly, I have: beans, bunnies, beeswax, books, beachglass, butterfly wing jewelry, bags, and boxes (music)!

Continuing with the B theme, there is a VERY special "B" event happening the end of this week: a showing of original art by one of my very favorite artists--Basma Kavanagh!
Friday evening is the opening, at Cape Breton University, and I don't often say this but, seriously, this is a "Do Not Miss" event! I am predicting a lot of "sold" stickers on Basma's work, so if you're in the market for a spectacular piece (or you need to kick the cold-weather doldrums), head to the University because this is as good as it gets. The power and beauty of Basma's work result from (In my opinion), the 3 best assets any artist could hope to possess: soul/passion, technical finesse, and a rare insight into one's subject matter.
