Ho ho ho-my goodness! I've left a bare journal this month and here it is Christmas Eve!
The past few weeks have been a blur of activity...a couple of the custom orders I did this year have me really excited...will share more once the big day has past and everyone has received their goodies...wouldn't want to ruin any surprises!

Yesterday, Dec. 1st, a name was drawn as the winner of my holiday surprise giveaway...

In case anyone's curious about the behind-the-scenes of a Lamoore Designs Draw, here's how this one went:
#1:create a paper ballot for each item purchased during a holiday fair by a newsletter subscriber. if a person purchases 3 things, their name goes in 3 times.
#2:create a randomly shuffled stack of ballots, one on top of the other.
#3:count how many ballots there are altogether.
#4:now create as many tokens as ballots, number them sequentially, and drop them all in a bucket. i used little white paper circles as my tokens, all the same size, natch.
#5:shake bucket.
#6:shake bucket some more.
#7:enlist the help of an honest, unbiased person...someone as close to saintliness as you can find...I used my mother.
#8:when saintly helper draws a number from bucket, count through the stack of ballots, starting at the top, until you get to the number drawn.
#9:that's it! you have a winner! time to think up another contest...

The first number drawn was 23, but the ballot corresponding to that number had an invalid email written on it, and no other identifying information, soooo, it was back to #8. Second time, the number 52 was drawn, and there we had it, our official WWE (Winner We Can Email).
